With more than 15 years of experience in real estate, Mark Reiner developed his understanding of the industry from an investment perspective long before approaching it from the traditional lens of a broker.
Raised in a Montréal family deeply rooted in architecture, development, urban planning and real estate sales, Mark was exposed early to the fundamentals behind what creates value in real estate — how properties are acquired, developed, positioned, financed and ultimately monetized. That foundation continues to shape the way he approaches the business today.
As Vice President of Immeubles Montria, Mark and his business partner, Maximilian Cronin, have built and developed the firm’s commercial real estate division, encompassing commercial assets, multiplexes and revenue-producing properties. Together, their activities have grown to represent more than $300 million in sales and leasing volume, with Mark now dedicating the majority of his practice to commercial real estate.
What distinguishes Mark’s approach is an investment-first mindset.
Rather than looking at a property simply as something to buy, sell or lease, Mark focuses on the underlying economics of the asset and where value can be created. From income and operating performance to positioning, financing, leasing strategy, redevelopment potential and eventual disposition, he approaches each mandate with the perspective of an investor first and a broker second.
That perspective has become particularly valuable as his commercial practice has expanded. Mark works closely with investors, property owners, developers, landlords and businesses to identify opportunities, structure transactions and negotiate from a position grounded in both market knowledge and the client’s broader financial objectives.
The same long-term thinking extends to how Mark approaches client relationships.
Rather than measuring success by a single closing, Mark has built his practice around customer lifetime value — understanding that the real opportunity is to create value for a client throughout the evolution of their real estate needs. A first lease may lead to an acquisition. A single revenue property may become a portfolio. A growing business may require multiple locations. An asset acquired today may eventually require repositioning, refinancing or disposition.
By understanding where a client wants to go — not simply what they need today — Mark aims to become a long-term strategic real estate advisor throughout that journey.
Mark combines the drive of an entrepreneur, the perspective of an investor and the execution capabilities of an experienced broker — an approach that continues to fuel his growing presence in Montréal’s commercial real estate market.
For Mark, the objective has never been simply to complete transactions. It is to identify opportunity, create value and build relationships that compound over time.
